This is a nice mixture of easy burning Virginias and some Perique. I have to agree with the above comments
which rank this as a high quality smoke. Also the Perique is just enough and not overdone. I am a finicky
smoker when it comes to tongue bit and this blend is cool to the palate and tongue, more so than any I have
tried other than pure Cavendish. It does not overwhelm in either roomnote or mouth. A great balanced blend which really impressed me.

Natural, well-balanced mix of moderate strength, Perique in sufficient quantities, but no more. Smokes are not hot and evenly, pleasant aftertaste. In the room a pleasant smell, others love it. Decent tobacco five stars.

Prairie Wind is a natural (non-aromatic) tasting dark leaf blend with some brown and gold leaf, in a rough, or short irregular cut. It packs, lights and burns quite well because there's sufficient air space between flakey particles. The moisture level is textbook correct; but I prefer to let it DGT for a little while after the charring light. It produces a good volume of chewy smoke with good mouth feel. My guess is that this has a red and stoved red Va base with perhaps some Va brights for accent; and the Perique quality and quantity is right on target. It produces a medium-sweet, plummy taste with the merest suggestion of something like unsweetened cocoa. It reminds me a lot of Two Friends' Redwood -- only smoother and more balanced; so at first I thought it might even contain unsweetened black cavendish. But maybe that taste is just the product of the Perique and red Va working together. The excellent balance of body, strength, and flavor makes for a smooth, pleasurable smoke. The ethereal hint of unsweetened cocoa that I mentioned lingers on in the finish, which continues to satisfy long after the smoke has ended. This is a cool, slow burning, satisfying smoke, so don't overload your palate with too large a serving. No goop, no gurgle, no dottle, no bite; medium vitamin N. For most of the year I've been sampling Vaper and Perique-forward blends, and this is the best yet -- by far.

A well balanced tobacco, mild but tasteful, sweet but not treacly, with the generous amount of Perique definitely present but not overdosed, and with a very gentle room note.
You should have included a larger amount than just a sample. Even if I forget, do so -without asking- in my next order!
Recommended, without doubt.

Rich was kind enough to include a sample of this blend in my last order. I've never smoked a Va/Per before and was curious. I believe I'm sold on Va/Per and especially this blend. Smokes cool from top to bottom and the sweetness of the virginias is just to my liking. The perique is present in the background but is felt throughout the smoke. There is no bite with this blend, even if your puffing faster then normal. My wife even commented that the room note didn't bother her and that's from a woman who complains about any of the burley blends I smoke. This is surely a winner and I'll be ordering more. 5 Stars and I wish I could give it 10 stars.
