Mac Baren Bulk VIRGINIA No. 1

Virginia #1 (bulk) is composed of honey colored shreds of fully rubbed flake with a predictably grassy sweet aroma. It has a deep, true Virginia taste that is sweetened to perfection. My guess would be that it's cased with a water solution of brown sugar, and nothing else. Mac Baren product specialist Per Jensen states that Va.#1 is the only Mac Baren product composed entirely of Virginia tobacco leaf. I was late in discovering this blend because I had been listening to all the talk about how bitey Mac Baren tobaccos are. Boy was that a mistake! This not only tastes great, but you have to intentionally puff like a locomotive to coax even a slight nip out of this stuff. Further, it is so mild tasting it makes a great all day smoke with a mild-to-medium nicotine hit. Totally well behaved, and a candidate for anybody's go-to smoke. A must buy for Va flake lovers.

I find this to be sweet and spicy smoke...however it benefits from extra care during the rub to remove stems...can burn hot if puffed rather than sipped...but with some attention it is very nice...great in a cob.

This blend lights easy and stays lit. If you smoke it slow there is no bite, only a slight tingle. I found it to be sweet and of medium strength. I found a loose packing makes it smoke cooler. Only about 30 minutes of drying time really helps this blend.
