Tobacco smells in equal shares as vanilla, prunes, apples, raisin. When smoking since the beginning vanilla is felt only. Then taste of prunes starts to be added, and already in the second half chocolate both in taste and in aroma appears, Cavendish starts to play. However, to feel it it is possible only at very slow smoking, practically on the verge of attenuation - here this principle plays very large role.
The fortress is slightly lower than average, the smell is pleasant for people around.

At the advice of a number of friends, I tried this as part of my first order from Rich. I am a relatively new pipe smoker, and was growing frustrated at the lack of choice in brands here in rural northern Maine. I was looking for a better selection of aromatics to try, rather than just the standard Captain Black that I was able to get at the local drugstore, and it was suggested that I try this.
On opening the package, this was delightful to the nose. It immediately conjured up memories of the tobacco shop in the Bangor Mall when I was a child. The taste was a wonderful combination of vanilla and cocoa that lasted through the entire bowl without any bite at all. This burned evenly and cleanly to the bottom of the bowl, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Room note was delightful. I fully intend to purchase it in quantity in the future and make it a regular part of my rotation when I'm craving an aromatic.
