This my favorite Astleys blend. The tin aroma is pure tobacco. Moisture is minimal. It packs and lights very well. The flavor of the Virginias is maintained throughout the entire bowl. It smokes to a fine grayish-white ash with no relights. Its mild,excellent all day smoke,with no bite. The only negative aspect is that its not available in bulk. If it were I'd purchase it by the pound.I firmly beleve that this mixture will only get better with age. I highly recommend this blend to the novice smoker as well as the well seasoned piper. I have absolutely no problem giving this blend five(5) stars.
