This is one I'm definitely keeping within reach. The mocha flavor and room note are great. Very easy smoke. It actually has a great taste in comparison to some aromatics that only smell great.
A terrific blend!

Ordered a couple of ounces to give it a try and I find this bend to have all sorts of positive qualities: It lights and burns easily - all the way to ash (probably 95%); projects a good room note that my wife likes... and it also tastes good. A first-class smoke. 5 Stars.
A nice surprise

Really good tasting coffee blend . Im usually not much into aromatics but i like this, but im a big coffee drinker so the flavor is quite delicious to me . I don't agree its anything like CB. CB is garbage, this is not . No PG laden .wet. goopy. chemical taste here. If you like the taste of coffee give this a try . The room note and smell is also very pleasant . I get lots of compliments about how well it smells when i smoke it in public .
Update with a briar Oom Paul
Just tried another bowl, this time in a newly-freshened Carey Oom Paul and again with an Irish coffee. The characteristics of this tobacco blend changed dramatically in taste. To me, it was very Cap'n. Black-ish in taste. The aroma was still moka-like but for me taste is everything and I much preferred the coffee-moka taste in the cob to the vanilla-marshmallow taste in the briar. Typical of an Oom Paul, the bottom of the bowl was goopy with this blend; more a statement of the type of pipe than the tobacco alone, I'm sure. Still, I won't let my disappointment with this blend in a briar sway me from enjoying this fine blend in my cobs which was pure pleasure; so much so, I've ordered 8oz of it. Bottom line, either way, if you like Cap'n Black, you'll like this.
Smooth, Creamy goodness
Just tried a cob bowl of this blend from a sample Rich sent with my last order. I was expecting a wet, goopy aromatic smoke, but was I ever fooled! One match is all it took, no drying; right out of the baggie. Billows of pleasant smoke, and to the tongue, a mellow, mild moka java experience with no bite. As a strict English blend smoker, I confess that this was a real treat with a hot mug of Irish coffee. Burned relatively cool right to the bottom of my Country Gentleman with only one match. No bitterness at all. In fact, when I finished the bowl, I waited only till my cob was cool enough for a re-load, turned down the lights, and just relaxed with my cob and coffee. No blend has ever prompted me to a second bowl before now. An all day smoke or as a relaxing end to a hectic day, this IS a blend to try. Thanks Rich!
