Erinmore Flake has always been a favorite of mine, however, like my review on the Mixure, I have to comment on how this flake has changed - I'm commenting on the current version in the round tin, manufactured by the Skandinavian Tobacco Group. The current version has toned down the aroma significantly and what was one a kind of rich "juicy fruit gum" type flavor, is now a much lighter version with floral overtones. It's still good quality medium strength tobacco, which rubs out well and smokes well, however the classic taste/aroma has all but given way to a very light floral scent that doesn't really translate into the tobacco taste like it always has.
Reliable flake for all seasons

Erinmore is unfairly maligned. The pineapple logo has nothing to do with flavouring of this blend- it is a decorative motif only. The flake is dark and aromatic, folds and lights exceptionally well even without drying. Should be enjoyed slowly and not pushed. For me it is a perfect outdoor tobacco with virginias and cavendish well complementing each other. Slight flavouring is based on orange (amaretto) and possibly almond. A favourite.
Wonderful flake

One of the best. Smoke it anytime, anywhere. Great flavor and aroma. As noted in another review, one of the world's great flakes.

You either hate the flake, or love it. There is no half and half. Erinmore flake is the Rocky of the tobacco world. The mixture is alright with a cup of tea, but it ain't no flake. But smoker beware, it must be treated with respect. Puff too fast and it'll bite.
Old reliable

This has been a friend of mine for 30 years now. To me, it has a rich smell of amaretto upon opening. It's easy to rub and - being a cigarette smoker as well - carries a nice nicotine kick to it. A good all day smoke that sips well. Goes well with a port on a winters day and great with a beer in the heat of summer. It leaves a pleasant after taste and burns well from start to finish. Don't believe I have ever had a bad batch but... Do not confuse with erinmore mixture. In my opinion they are poles apart. Erinmore Flake is a trusted sidekick that doesn't let me down. Wife does not mind the smell either - Bonus.
