McClelland: FROG MORTON ON THE TOWN 100g 2017 - C

I truly enjoy this blend. Being a fan of "most" things from McClelland it is no surprise that I enjoy this blend. I find myself alternating between FMOOT and Squadron Leader. While Squadron Leader is a classic English, the slight sweetness and extreme mellowness of this smoke makes this one almost as good as Squadron Leader. If you are an English purist, I would still recommend you try this blend. If you have always wanted to try an English, then you might just find what you are looking for with FMOOT. It is a truly delightful, cool, rich, and flavorful smoke.

I have heard a lot about Frog Morton from the employees where I get my pipes/tobacco. Had not been impressed until "On The Town." I have about 15 tins in my rotation, each a different tobacco, many from different brands. This is clearly one of my favorites! This is currently my "go to" pipe when I want to make sure I get a good smoke that doesn't disappoint.

I rate on the town as one of the best smokes I have come across. It is a mellow smoke to site back to and enjoy, full of character from begging to the end of the bowl, something I can get my teeth into and relax with. The latakia is there as a note in the back ground, never over powering just to give it a depth, as well as the Basma leaf that I have come to love. Being in the repressed UK McClelland is not available over here, and the tobacconists didnt have a clue what it was or what they could suggest I mite be able to replace it with. The closest I came to my self was Sam Gawith's perfection, but even then its a weak substitute, and I couldnt wait to place another order with 4noggins.

I ordered this and couldn't wait to try it. I fired up a bowl after dinner this evening and it was a very nice compliment to a rather hectic day. Lots of flavor, smooth and cool, no bite at all. Burns nice and cool right to the bottom with no relight. It was so good I smoked another bowl immediately after the first!
